Netflix India Vs Competition

Netflix is putting all its efforts into remaining in the Indian market, including the partnership with Reliance Jio. However, the results didn't come up as they expected. In India, Netflix's biggest competition is Amazon Prime Video and Disney+ Hotstar. Here is the bird's eye view of Netflix vs Amazon Prime and Disney+ Hotstar.

Netflix

Netflix India has about 6.5 million subscribers in total.

It constitutes only 4% of the industry's market share.

      Cheapest Plan - ₹149

Amazon Prime Video

Amazon Prime has around 20 million subscribers in total.

      Cheapest Plan - ₹299

Disney+ Hotstar

With more than 40 million subscribers, Disney+ Hotstar is at the top.

      Cheapest Plan - ₹299

This is the overview of Netflix vs its competition in India. It may seem like a huge failure for Netflix, but Amazon Prime also offers other services with its video streaming services, making it not a direct competitor. So, Disney+ Hotstar is the real competition of Netflix, and the difference in their subscriber base is huge.
